The starlings returned to the Moscow region after wintering. This is reported by the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya with reference to the Ministry of Ecology and Nature Management.

These birds usually return to Russia in late March and early April. Starlings immediately look for housing, often they return to the houses that were inhabited a year earlier.

Residents of the Moscow region who hang birdhouses are advised to choose places away from vegetable gardens and greenhouses. Birds can eat berries and fruits, so the plantings will have to be protected.

In February, the annual "Feed the Birds" campaign was held in the region. Feeders for wintering birds have been installed in the districts. Most of the feeders were installed in Shchelkovo.
