Investments in the resort sector of Kuban have increased 100 times in 10 years.

Krasnodar Territory is the third region in Russia in terms of industrial development: since 2015, the volume of products has increased 2.5 times. This became known on March 24 at a meeting between Vladimir Putin and the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratiev. At the same time, problems with roads and the second shift in schools remain in the region, the president noted.

What was discussed at the meeting

Krasnodar Krai has become the third region in Russia in terms of industrial development. GRP has tripled in 10 years, from 1.8 trillion to 5.5 trillion rubles. The volume of industrial output has increased 2.5 times since 2015 and amounted to 620 billion rubles by the end of 2024. Winemaking is an important branch of the region's economy. "We can safely say that since 2019, viticulture, winemaking and Russian wine have truly appeared in Russia. In just five years, we have increased the vineyard area by 6.5 thousand hectares. The production of seedlings has increased fourfold in five years, and the production of sparkling wines has increased 2.5 times in five years," the governor said.

As for the social sphere, in seven years, specialists have built 105 schools, 213 kindergartens, 148 paramedic and obstetric centers (FAP). In 2025, there will be 12 more schools, 21 kindergartens and 38 schools. 176 sports facilities have already been built in the region: this year, the construction of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Palace will begin. Vladimir Putin noted the active development of football in the Krasnodar Territory and praised the region's sports schools. "Football is actively developing in your country. I remember going to schools, of course, it's impressive. I must say, the schools are great football schools," the head of state noted.

The volume of investments in the resort sector of the Krasnodar Territory has increased 100 times over the past 10 years, the governor said. Last year, 30 hotels were commissioned, and 63 are currently under construction. Vladimir Putin instructed to pay close attention to environmental issues when implementing infrastructure projects. Veniamin Kondratiev said that 17 sewage treatment plants are being designed: almost all resort areas will be covered by them.

The President drew the attention of the Krasnodar Territory authorities to the problems with local roads and the continuing second shift in schools. "After all, 25% of schoolchildren go to the second shift. Your migration burden is serious, and social issues are more difficult to resolve, but you just need to pay attention to this," the head of state said.

Vladimir Putin wished good luck to Veniamin Kondratiev, who has been heading the Krasnodar Territory for 10 years, in the upcoming gubernatorial elections. The President noted that much has been done in the region in recent years, and he advised Veniamin Kondratiev to work more actively with the population. "Especially during the pre—election period, more direct contacts are needed in order to set priorities more clearly for the next period and understand what people expect and what they will expect from the leadership of the region, so that their issues and problems can be resolved as quickly and as efficiently as possible," the president said.
