Slovakia opposes anti-Russian sanctions

The Chairman of the National Council of Slovakia, Andrei Danko, called for the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions. He stated this on March 23 in an interview with TV JOJ, which was published on the YouTube channel.
"I advocate the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions. I support [Slovak Prime Minister] Robert Fico, and I pray to God that we vote the way Hungarians vote," Danko said.
According to him, sanctions against Russia are harming the European Union itself.
According to the politician, Europe is losing its leadership position. He noted that heavy industry is moving to India and China.
Earlier, on March 22, Arnaud Bausemer, a member of the European Parliament (EP), a member of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party and the Stop Sanctions public movement, announced bankruptcies in Germany due to anti-Russian sanctions. According to him, Germany has suffered greatly due to the restrictions imposed, unlike the Russian Federation.
