The condition for the return of Western companies to Russia is the lack of funding for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was stated on March 24 by Alexander Shokhin, head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), in an interview with TASS.

He stated that an individual approach to each investor can be justified, it is necessary to establish common criteria for all.

"These are more universal requirements that apply equally to all companies. And then it can be differentiated, in contrast, among other things, from how they left, from how they behaved after leaving, including whether they financed the Armed Forces of Ukraine and participated in the production of ammunition directly, weapons, and so on," Shokhin said.

Earlier, on March 18, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, speaking at the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, said that Russia needs to develop a unified approach to the return of Western companies to the Russian market. According to him, this opportunity should not be taboo. At the same time, Russian beneficiaries should have control over joint companies, he said.

On March 13, Putin announced closed-door negotiations with foreign companies regarding the return of some partners to the Russian market. He noted that the negotiations are taking place calmly, with dignity, with mutual respect and respect for each other's interests.
