Prosecutors began checking after ice fell on a child in Komsomolsk

The prosecutor's office of Komsomolsk-on-Amur has begun checking information on social networks that ice had fallen on the child from the roof of the house. The victim needed medical help.

According to IA AmurMedia, the incident occurred on the afternoon of March 23 at a house on the street of the Paris Commune. Ice fell on the head of a seven-year-old boy. The child was taken to the hospital with soft tissue bruises.

The supervisory authority should evaluate the work of officials who are responsible for the maintenance of the building during the winter period. If there are grounds, a set of prosecutorial response measures will be taken.

Earlier, on March 19, in Barnaul, a piece of ice fell from the roof onto an eight-year-old girl. The causes and circumstances of the incident are being investigated by investigators. They identify an employee of the management company, whose duties include issues related to the proper maintenance of the roof of the house, the department added.
