The fire season has begun in the forests of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Firefighters patrol the territories of Krasnoturansky, Kuraginsky, Minusinsky, Uzhursky districts, as well as Sharypovsky municipal district.
According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, with reference to the regional Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, ground groups, forestry staff, hunting inspectors, and forest protection inspectors are working, and drones are being used.
According to the first deputy head of the department, almost 2 thousand fighters of the air and ground units of the regional Forest Fire center will protect forests from fire. There are more than 600 pieces of special equipment and about 3.6 thousand pieces of equipment in service.
In addition, groups of forest special forces from the northern units will be sent to the south of the region. There will be round-the-clock locations for forest firefighters. The situation is being monitored around the clock.
Early detection of a fire allows to eliminate it with the least losses. This is one of the objectives of the national Environmental Well-being project. The most effective and efficient way to detect fires is the Lesohranitor video monitoring system. 170 video cameras are installed on the towers of cellular operators in 42 municipalities. The viewing radius of each is up to 35 km.
Earlier it was reported that a high-alert regime was introduced in Transbaikalia on Monday, March 24. This is due to the beginning of the fire season. The corresponding decree was signed by Governor Alexander Osipov.
