On Monday, March 24, a high-alert regime was introduced in Transbaikalia. This is due to the beginning of the fire season. The corresponding decree was signed by Governor Alexander Osipov.

A publication in the Telegram channel of the head of the region says that the first forest fire was recorded and extinguished in the region. It turned from a landscape into a forest.

ChitaMedia news agency explains that the fire occurred in the Chita region, 15 km from Novotroitsk. The fire area was 1.5 hectares.

Earlier, on March 20, it was reported that a large-scale fire occurred in Primorye: dry vegetation caught fire on an area of 3 thousand square meters. m. As a result, an apartment building was destroyed, and two more country houses were damaged. The fire was later extinguished.
