Five people were rescued from cars stuck at the foot of a volcano in Kamchatka

Five people were stuck in cars at the foot of the Avacha volcano in the area of the Lava Fall in Kamchatka. Rescuers helped them. Two women and a child were evacuated to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The men refused to evacuate.
According to the KamchatkaMedia news agency, with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region, the 112 service received a signal about the incident late on March 23. The caller said that there were five people in the stuck cars, including a child.
A search and rescue team was sent to help people with high-speed vehicles. After discovering the travelers, rescuers sent two women and a child to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. They did not need medical help. The men decided to wait for their friends to rescue the stuck cars from the snow captivity.
In mid-January, it was reported that four tourists had disappeared in the area of Mount Lonesome in the Perm Region. Rescuers were able to locate the travelers overnight. Before hiking in the mountains, tourists did not register with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which complicated their search.
