The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked the largest hospital in the southern Gaza Strip, killing two people and injuring others. This was reported by the Associated Press on March 24, citing representatives of the enclave's Ministry of Health.

"The Israeli military attacked the largest hospital in southern Gaza, killing two people, injuring several others and setting off a large fire," the report said.

According to the ministry's representatives, the strike hit the surgical department of the Nasser Hospital in the city of Khan Yunis. A 16-year-old teenager who had previously undergone surgery and a member of the political bureau of the Palestinian group Hamas were killed. He was also treated in hospital.

In turn, the Israeli military confirmed the attack on the hospital, saying that the strike fell on a Hamas militant who was there.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that more than 50 people became victims of the IDF's actions in Gaza during the day. It was noted that the military carried out air strikes, carried out artillery attacks and fired small arms to kill. Later on Monday, it was clarified that at least 12 people had died as a result of IDF attacks on the territory of the enclave since the beginning of March 24.

On March 18, the Israel Defense Forces announced the resumption of military operations against the Palestinian Hamas movement in Gaza. As a result of the Israeli airstrikes, more than 1,000 people were injured, and the death toll increased to 310. The media also said that Israel had warned the administration of US President Donald Trump in advance about the resumption of attacks on Gaza.
