The expert spoke about the preparation for the Unified State Exam in three months

There is little time left before the Unified State Exam (USE), but it can also be used as efficiently as possible. On March 25, Victoria Podsukhina, a teacher and head of regional teaching at the educational company MAXIMUM Education, told Izvestia what can be done and how to properly organize training.
She noted that it is possible to prepare from scratch in three months, but in this case you should not expect excellent results. At the same time, during this period, the student, who had previously devoted time to the exam, can systematize his knowledge, repeat important topics and work out weaknesses in each subject.
"In the last month before the exam, it is recommended to focus on solving trial options in conditions as close as possible to real ones. It will be useful if the student will mark the time to get used to the format of the exam, and carefully analyze the mistakes. This can be done independently, checking the criteria, or with the help of a teacher," said Podsukhina.
According to her, the first step should be to diagnose the current level of knowledge in all subjects that require more attention.
"Based on it, it is necessary to make a realistic plan for 12 weeks. The preparation can be divided into three stages. For example, the first four weeks should be devoted to analyzing the basic topics in each subject. The next four weeks are devoted to delving into the material and working on more complex sections. The last four weeks have been devoted to the elimination of gaps that could have been found at previous stages, and intensive training of exam assignments," said Podsukhina.
She recommended devoting two to three hours to more complex subjects and one hour to less complex ones, so as not to overload and maintain concentration. In addition, she noted, it is important to alternate subjects so as not to lose focus and effectively distribute forces.
In addition, the specialist emphasized that it is important to eliminate gaps in basic knowledge — it is impossible to solve complex tasks without mastering theory. After that, you can move on to more complex topics and higher-level tasks. Special attention should be paid to tasks with detailed answers, as they bring the highest number of points, as well as assessment criteria.
"Don't forget about motivation and rest. During the period of active brain activity, you need to maintain a balance: eat right, get enough sleep and not overload yourself. There is no need to compare yourself with others, the main thing is to focus on your goals and not panic because someone started preparing earlier," the expert concluded.
On March 22, Roman Sherenkov, a methodologist in history and social studies at Online School No. 1, told Izvestia about ways to enter a university without using the Unified State Exam. So, people with disabilities, applicants with a diploma of secondary vocational education (SPE), school graduates who completed their studies before January 1, 2009, foreigners and applicants with an existing diploma of higher education will be able to do this. You can also enroll without the Unified State Exam based on participation in Olympiads and competitions.
