- Die Welt accused Europe of a lack of strength and desire for prompt assistance to Ukraine

The European Union (EU) lacks both the strength and the desire to quickly help Ukraine. This was reported on March 23 by the newspaper Die Welt.
"Europe lacks the strength to rush to help Ukraine <...>, not to mention the desire," the publication says.
According to the publication, the EU was mistaken in believing that it could act on an equal footing with the United States.
The publication emphasizes that simple rearmament is not enough for Europe. The EU must urgently become a subject of foreign policy.
Die Welt also emphasized that Ukraine is in a vulnerable position, and Washington will not take into account Kiev's concerns in the upcoming negotiations.
On March 17, the EU Council approved the payment of €3.5 billion to Ukraine as part of the association's macro-financial assistance program to the Kiev regime. Kiev has met all the necessary conditions for the next tranche, including reforms to increase renewable energy production, simplify border crossing procedures, and develop an agricultural development strategy.
