Armenia plans to continue cooperation with the European Union (EU) civilian mission after the signing of the peace agreement with Azerbaijan and the expiration of the observer mandate. This was stated on March 24 by the country's Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan in an interview with reporters in parliament.

"In the future, we will be able to find the right model for the continuation of the work of European observers," the Armenian newspaper Aravot quoted him as saying.

According to him, the further mandate of the mission may include not only the tasks of border settlement, but also to ensure trust between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

At the same time, Hovhannisyan added that Yerevan is also ready to cooperate with Moscow to sign a peace treaty with Baku.

On March 13, Azerbaijan and Armenia completed negotiations on agreeing on the text of a peace treaty. According to Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Yerevan has accepted proposals regarding the last two uncoordinated points. At the next stage, Baku expects Armenia to amend its constitution, which still contains territorial claims against Azerbaijan.
