The Russian government has approved a family and demographic policy strategy until 2036, aimed at increasing the birth rate and improving parental support. This was reported on March 24 in the Telegram channel of the Cabinet of Ministers.

It clarifies that this initiative is aimed at preserving the country's population by increasing the birth rate, strengthening the health of families and creating favorable conditions for the development of children, she added. "Газета.Ru ".

"Preserving the population, strengthening health and improving people's well—being is one of our national goals set by the head of state," said Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, speaking at an operational meeting with deputy prime ministers.

He added that an important aspect will be improving assistance to parents and expectant moms and dads, including expanding opportunities to combine work and study with the birth and upbringing of children, as well as improving housing conditions.

In addition, the strategy will continue to improve the quality and accessibility of medical services, with an emphasis on strengthening maternal and child health and disease prevention.

On March 5, the acting head of the region, Alexander Dronov, announced that in the Novgorod region, parents at the birth of their first child will receive 1 million rubles from next year. In addition, 800 thousand rubles will be allocated for the second and subsequent children.
