An accident with an oil tanker overturning occurred in the Samara region

In the Samara region, an accident occurred on the Osinki — Privolzhye — Hvorostyanka highway with an oil tanker overturning. As a result of the accident, crude oil spilled onto the ground. This was announced on March 24 by the press service of Rosprirodnadzor.

"The analyses confirmed contamination on an area of 356 square meters. The environmental damage is estimated at 9.68 million rubles," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is specified that the owner of the tanker refused to voluntarily compensate for the damage, but the court ordered him to pay the specified amount in full.
