Russian Mirra Andreeva is eliminated from the tennis tournament in Miami

Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva failed to qualify for the 1/8 finals of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) WTA 1000 tournament in Miami, losing to her opponent from the United States Amanda Anisimova, Sport-Express reported on March 24.

The score of the meeting in the third round was 6:7 (5:7), 6:2, 3:6. The match lasted 2 hours and 49 minutes. In the first set, Andreeva, the sixth rocket in the world, took a medical time-out.

The prize fund of the WTA 1000 tournament is almost $9 million.

On March 21, Russian athlete Anna Kalinskaya beat Japanese Moyuka Uchijima in the second round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Miami, securing entry into the third round. The match lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes and ended with a score of 6:1, 6:3. However, on March 24, Kalinskaya also failed to reach the 1/8 finals of the tournament, losing to American Jessica Pegula.
