A magnitude 5.2 earthquake was recorded 28 km off the coast of Coquimbo in Chile. This was announced on Monday, March 24, by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

The source of the tremors was at a depth of 85 km. According to reports, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 329 km from the city of San Juan (province of Argentina), which has a population of 447 thousand people.

No injuries, deaths, or damage were reported.

Earlier, on March 21, an earthquake of magnitude 6.2 was recorded off the coast of the Aleutian Islands, which are part of the American state of Alaska. The source was located at a depth of 17 km.
