The territory of the recently liberated villages of the Sudzha district is littered with mines, shells and thin strands of optical fiber from kamikaze drones, and damaged military equipment stands on the roads. Izvestia visited these places.

Despite the proximity of the fighting and the danger from the sky, the territory has been cleared of mines almost from the first day.

"We get assignments in the morning, which routes need to be completed, and we go to the places. On the roads, the main danger is "teemki" (anti—tank mines. — Ed.). You can see them — the "hats" are sticking out of the ground. We pick it up, pull it out, store it together, and then eliminate it with an overhead TNT charge," said fighter Vova Maloy.

A tank and a special Ural MTP are working in the field nearby, they act as tow trucks for enemy and Russian equipment. A tank can pick up and pull out a heavier vehicle, such as a Bradley, a Stryker, or an M-113 transporter. A Ural is a truck or armored vehicle. As the commander of the evacuation department explained, the task of his team is to first pull the car from the battlefield, and then, if possible, repair it. The ideal option is to bet on your turn.

The peculiarity of the liberated territories is the thin strands of optical fiber scattered everywhere.

"It's hard to tear, but you can break them, they're fragile!" explained Rodion, a member of the Akhmat special forces, whose call sign is Dostoevsky.
