Starting from March 1, employers are required to pay employees additional remuneration for mentoring. This was announced on Monday, March 24, by David Adams, General Director of the AID Professional Legal Group.

"Starting from March 1, 2025, employers are required to pay employees additional remuneration for performing mentor duties," the lawyer said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to him, the changes are aimed at consolidating responsibility for the transfer of professional skills. Such a measure will provide a formal basis for mentor-student relations within the company, Adams noted.

Starting from March 1, mentoring is carried out based on the written consent of the employee. And the conditions of such activity should be legally fixed, the expert specified.

In addition, Adams pointed out that an employee has the right to refuse to train a less experienced colleague if he finds the payment for the additional workload unsatisfactory.

However, this means additional responsibility for mentors, the agency's interlocutor concluded.

Earlier, on March 13, 57% of respondents according to the results of the survey of the service "Work.<url>" indicated that the most common reason for the dismissal of Russians from work was the unwillingness of the employer to raise wages. It is followed by a lack of career growth (38%) and professional burnout (37%). A significant part of the respondents (32%) cited stress as the reason for their dismissal. The desire to work closer to home also became a significant factor for 24% of the respondents.
