The deputy called a way to get nine days of rest for the May holidays

If an employee takes three days off at the end of April, they will be able to rest continuously for nine days — from April 26 to May 4. This was announced on March 24 by State Duma Deputy Sergei Gavrilov in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"In 2025, May 1 and 2 are official non—working holidays, and if we also take into account the weekend of April 26 and 27, then it is when registering a vacation from April 28 to April 30 that you can get a nine-day rest period using only three April days of the annual vacation," he said.

At the same time, he stressed that, according to the law, annual paid leave is provided to an employee in accordance with the schedule approved by his superiors. This schedule must be approved no later than two weeks before the beginning of next year.
