- The British Armed Forces criticized Starmer because of his words about sending troops to Ukraine

Representatives of the armed forces of Great Britain perceive the words of the Prime Minister of the kingdom, Keir Starmer, about sending troops to Ukraine as "political theater" and deception. This was reported on March 23 by The Daily Telegraph (DT) newspaper, citing sources in the army.
"This is all political theater. Starmer got ahead of himself by talking about the troops on the ground. He didn't know what he was talking about. That's why we're hearing less and less about it now. But more often there are words about fighters and ships. It will be easier to do this, you don't need to be stationed in Ukraine," said one military source.
He also pointed out that an international force of 10,000 people would not have been able to exert any "peacekeeping" influence, and even they themselves would have faced the inability to defend themselves.
"How long will they be there and for what purpose? No one knows," he concluded.
At the same time, former British Defense Minister Ben Wallace said earlier that the negotiations of the "coalition of the willing" on sending troops to Ukraine were more like a "political technological deception", since they did not discuss "essential issues."
On March 20, the FT newspaper reported that the countries of the so-called coalition of the willing decided to abandon the idea of sending ground forces to Ukraine and now want to focus on ensuring air and sea security for Kiev. On the same day, French President Emmanuel Macron announced a summit of the coalition of the willing with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on March 27.
