The police prevented the sale of narcotic substances on the territory of a correctional colony in Primorsky Krai. This was announced on Monday, March 24, by the press service of the regional Interior Ministry.

"It has been established that four residents of Primorsky Krai, in order to obtain financial benefits, planned to organize the supply of herbal drugs to the territory of one of the correctional institutions," the department said in a statement on its Telegram channel.

Four defendants were detained. One of the accused had no previous criminal record.

During the search, the police found at least 87 grams of cannabis oil and items related to the case.

A criminal case has been opened on the attempted sale of drugs on a large scale (part 3 of art. 30, part 4 of art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to the indictment, the suspects could face up to 20 years in prison.

On March 21, it became known that the Russian Federal Security Service had detained the organizers of drug laboratories in the Vladimir and Smolensk regions. The attackers sold illegal substances over the Internet.
