A suspect in a shooting from a machine gun was detained in the city of Artyom.

In the city of Artyom, Primorsky Krai, police detained a suspect who fired a machine gun into the air. This was announced on March 24 by the press service of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region in the Telegram channel.

"As a result of the operational search measures, the criminal investigation officers identified the suspect. A 39-year—old man was detained and taken to the territorial police department," the department said.

It is also known that a criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism with the use of weapons committed by a group of persons"). The investigation is ongoing.
