The head of the Belovsky district of the Kursk region, Nikolai Volobuyev, managed to jump out of the car at the last moment during an attack by a Ukrainian FPV drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). He announced this on Sunday, March 23, in an interview with the Zvezda TV channel.

"I jumped out of the car at the last split second. The car was parked, I got in it and immediately managed to jump out," the official said.

The head of the Belovsky district also noted that the blow had hit the central part of the car and it was beyond repair.

At the time of the incident, the official was delivering bread to residents of the border territories. He does this every weekend.

After the FPV drone hit the hood of the car, Volobuev suffered an acoustic injury, but he reached the local hospital on his own.

According to the official, he feels good and is ready to go to work tomorrow.

Alexander Khinshtein, the acting head of the region, told about the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike on the car of the head of the Belovsky district of the Kursk region earlier that day. It is specified that at the moment Volobuev's life is not in danger. Also, despite the head injury, the head of the district will return to his duties in the near future, Khinstein added.
