Algerian President demands prosecution of perpetrators of killings in Gaza

Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebboune said on March 23 that he would insist on holding a trial against Israeli representatives responsible for the massacre of residents of the Gaza Strip.
"We were the first to demand the prosecution of those responsible for the mass killings in Gaza, and we continue to do so," Radio Algérienne quoted him as saying.
The Head of State noted that the country under his rule "will not give up Palestine." He also stressed his intention to continue to protect and support the enclave and its residents.
"The Palestinian issue is a fundamental issue that requires cooperation and mutual understanding," said Abdelmajid Tebboun.
On the same day, one of the leaders of the Hamas political bureau, Salah al-Bardawil, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip. The deputy and his wife were killed in an Israeli bombing of tents housing displaced people west of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
On March 18, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the resumption of military operations against Hamas in Gaza. As a result of the Israeli airstrikes, more than 1,000 people were injured, and the death toll increased to 310. The media also said that Israel had warned the administration of US President Donald Trump in advance about the resumption of attacks on Gaza.
