Israel has killed Ismail Barhoum, a member of the political bureau of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas, in a strike on a hospital in Gaza. This was reported on March 23 by Al Arabiya TV channel.
It is specified that the head of the financial assets of Hamas, Barhoum, was killed as a result of the shelling of the Nasser medical complex in the city of Khan Yunis.
"The occupying forces attacked a surgical building in the Nasser medical complex, where there are many patients and wounded, as a result of which a large fire broke out there," the Palestinian Ministry of Health informed.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has confirmed the elimination of a Hamas member.
"A precise strike was carried out against a key Hamas terrorist who was operating on the territory of Nasser Hospital. The strike was carried out after careful intelligence gathering and using precise ammunition," the defense ministry said.
One of the leaders of the Hamas political bureau, Salah al-Bardawil, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip on March 22. The deputy and his wife were killed in an Israeli bombing of tents housing displaced people west of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
