A criminal case has been opened into the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the car of the head of the Belovsky district of the Kursk region. This was announced on March 23 by the official representative of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia Svetlana Petrenko.

The case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). According to the investigation, Ukrainian militants used an unmanned aerial vehicle to attack a car used by the head of the district, Nikolai Volobuyev, who was transporting bread.

"As a result of criminal actions, a man was injured, and a car was also damaged," the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation said in a Telegram channel.

Earlier in the day, the acting head of the region, Alexander Khinstein, said that at the moment Volobuev's life is not in danger. Also, despite the head injury, the head of the district will return to duty in the near future.
