A rally in support of peace between Germany and Russia was held in Cologne.

In Cologne, hundreds of activists took part in a car rally in support of peace between Germany and Russia. This was reported by the Izvestia correspondent on March 23.
One of the organizers of the action was the German lawyer Markus Baisicht.
"Today we want to demonstrate our desire for peace with Russia," he said.
Baisicht recalled that last Friday, March 21, the Bundestag again allocated billions to support Ukraine. At the same time, Berlin is betting on rearmament and does not rule out a military conflict, but not all Germans agree with this.
"We are categorically against an armed conflict, because Russia is not our enemy. I believe that we should return to the policy of detente. Germany and Russia should cooperate, as this contributes to peace. More and more Germans share this position, and that is why we are being persecuted with such ferocity," he added.
In turn, an activist named Vitaly said that he has been participating in the rally since 2022.
"We have been involved for a long time, since the beginning of our work. For the sake of friendship, for the sake of ending arms supplies to Ukraine, for the sake of ending what is happening, and for the sake of friendship between Russia and Germany. This is our movement, and we will continue it to the end," he concluded.
Earlier that day, Baisicht said that more than 300 cars had been registered as part of the campaign, so hundreds of people would take part in the event. It is also planned to organize another similar event in connection with the celebration of the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War on May 9, he added.
