Russian tennis player Andreeva spoke about her emotions after the 2024 Olympics

Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva burst into tears after the final of the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. She told the Sports Express newspaper about this on March 23.
The athlete noted that before the award ceremony, noticing how her partner Diana Schneider was crying, she tried to keep her composure and not let her emotions run wild. The tennis player admitted that she was "trying her best" to cheer up Schneider.
"Because if we both burst into tears, we wouldn't stop. We would have cried at the award ceremony. <...> To be honest. When we arrived at the room, apparently, all this accumulated fatigue took its toll — and I burst into tears already there. I sat in the dark and cried for ten minutes. But now the memories of the Olympics are the coolest," Andreeva shared.
In August 2024, Schneider and Andreeva won silver medals at the Paris Olympics in doubles. In the final meeting, they lost to Italians Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini with a score of 6:2, 1:6, 7:10.
For Schneider and Andreeva, the Olympic Games were the first in their careers.
