Bloomberg learned about the US desire to negotiate a truce in Ukraine by April 20.

The United States expects that a ceasefire agreement in Ukraine will be reached within a few weeks. This opinion was shared by Bloomberg on March 23.
"The White House is aiming for an armistice agreement by April 20, <...> but recognizes that the timing may shift, given the large gaps between the positions of the two sides," the publication noted.
Bloomberg also pointed to the concerns of European officials about the aspirations of US President Donald Trump "for a diplomatic triumph." According to them, the American leader may neglect the interests of Ukraine.
Negotiations between the delegations of Russia and the United States will take place in Riyadh on March 24. They will discuss the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine and the implementation of the Black Sea initiative. The Russian delegation will be led by Grigory Karasin, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, and Sergey Beseda, Adviser to the head of the Federal Security Service (FSB).
