- Rey, a journalist convicted of speaking about the gender of Macron's wife, filed a lawsuit with the ECHR.

Independent French journalist Natasha Ray, convicted under the article "Defamation" for claiming that Brigitte, the wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, is actually a man, has filed a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). This was announced to Izvestia on March 23 by her lawyer Francois Danglean.
"Journalist Natasha Ray has filed a complaint with the ECHR in the case of Brigitte Macron," he said.
He added that details about the complaint would be posted on his social media account in the evening.
Earlier, on February 3, Rey told Izvestia about the obstruction of her investigation and subsequent publication. According to her, just a few weeks after she contacted a woman close to the Macron family, she was detained by the police. When they raided her house, they tried to break down the front door.
Later, Danglean said that the journalist had requested political asylum in the Russian Federation.
Last March, Macron publicly criticized the media for the first time for spreading false information that his wife was allegedly born a man.
