Sobyanin congratulated meteorologists on their professional holiday

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin congratulated Moscow weather forecasters on their professional day and spoke about their work on his Telegram channel.
"Today is the Day of the employees of the Hydrometeorological Service of Russia and the World Meteorological Day. Congratulations on your professional holiday!" the mayor wrote.
The city has implemented a modern weather monitoring system as part of GBU "Highways", which allows you to accurately track current weather conditions and make forecasts for the future.
There are more than a hundred weather sensors installed on the streets that collect data on temperature, precipitation, snow levels and wind strength. These data are processed and analyzed using a Doppler weather radar located in the TiNAO, which is capable of analyzing atmospheric phenomena within a radius of up to 250 kilometers. This allows you to predict precipitation movements and other weather events.
In addition, at least ten hydrodynamic models are used, which help predict the weather for different periods — from three hours to a month.
