Czech President Petr Pavel did not rule out sending his military to Ukraine as part of a peacekeeping contingent. He stated this on March 22 in an interview with the European Truth publication, which was published on the YouTube channel.

"If there is a strong group of European states ready to provide Ukraine with security guarantees, then I am deeply convinced that the Czech Republic should be among them," Pavel said.

He is confident that if there is a joint readiness related to sending a peacekeeping contingent, the state will also take part in this.

The Czech President noted that the country should be one of those that will provide Kiev with security guarantees in the future. Such measures must be taken in order to "protect ourselves," reports "Газета.Ru ".

Earlier, on March 11, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the proposal to send peacekeepers to Ukraine looked like an attempt to save the Kiev regime. He also noted that it is necessary, first of all, to put an end to anti-Russian laws there.
