At least four people have been killed and six injured in wildfires in South Korea. This was reported on Saturday, March 23, by the Yonhap news agency, citing rescue services.

"At least four people were killed, six were injured and about 1.5 thousand people were evacuated as a result of forest fires caused by strong winds in the southeastern region," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, the fire started in Sancheon County, located about 250 km southeast of Seoul, and consequently spread to other regions.

It is specified that five victims are in serious condition.

Currently, 3.2 hectares of land have been burned, the agency added.

Firefighters are working to eliminate the fire using helicopters.

Earlier, on March 21, an explosion occurred at an electrical substation in London, as a result of which the electricity was cut off at Heathrow Airport. In this regard, the air harbor was closed until midnight on March 21. The London Fire Service did not consider the fire suspicious.
