Ulyanov questioned the EU's understanding of the meaning of the word "independence"

The European Union (EU) does not understand the meaning of the word "independence", increasing the financing of the Ukrainian media. This was announced on Saturday, March 23, by Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's Permanent Representative to the international Organizations in Vienna.
"The European Union has decided to increase the financing of independent Ukrainian media by 10 million euros. I wonder how the European Union understands the meaning of the word "independent," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
The EU Delegation to Ukraine announced the allocation of an additional €10 million to finance independent media the day before.
On March 20, Pavel Feldman, Candidate of Political Sciences, professor at the Academy of Labor and Social Relations, pointed out that some European countries are wondering why they should continue financing Ukraine against the background of negotiations between the Russian Federation and the United States.
He commented on the rejection by Italy, France, Spain and Portugal of the €40 billion plan for military assistance to Ukraine proposed by the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaya Kallas.
