Hungarian Parliament Speaker Laszlo Kever has fined €205,000 opposition MPs who tried to disrupt a vote on a bill banning LGBT community parades (the movement is recognized as extremist in Russia) and lit smoke bombs during the meeting. This was reported by Magyar Nemzet newspaper on Saturday, March 22.

The leader of the opposition Momentum party, David Bedo, will pay €60,000 of them, a fine of €30,000 was imposed on MP Akos Agnes Hadhazi, and the remaining amount is evenly distributed among five other participants.

Also, all violators received a court ban on attending meetings for different periods.

It is specified that during the incident, one of the women in the parliament hall needed emergency help.

Despite the efforts of the opposition, a bill banning LGBT parades in Hungary has been passed.

The day before, it was reported that the United Nations (UN) had called on Hungary to review a bill that bans LGBT parades in the country.
