Director Mikhalkov announced the presentation of the Eurasian Film Award at the MIFF

The presentation of the Eurasian Film Academy and the Film Award will take place at the Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF) in April. Director Nikita Mikhalkov announced this on March 22 after his creative evening in Moscow.

He also informed that the first award ceremony will be held in December.

"In April, God willing, there will be a presentation of the Academy and the Diamond Butterfly Award at the Moscow Festival. And in December there will be the first award ceremony," Mikhalkov announced at the Territory of My Love creative evening.

The director also added that the award in Russia, which will not be a festival, but an "expensive academic story," is scheduled for three years.

According to him, 25 countries have already shown interest in the film academy.
