Private Korolev distracted the attention of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the capture of the enemy stronghold

Junior Sergeant Firuz Yakupov, as part of a howitzer self-propelled artillery battery, performed combat missions for artillery support of Russian motorized rifle units in the area of a special military operation (SVO). On Sunday, March 23, the Russian Ministry of Defense told about the exploits of the Russian army soldiers.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attempted an offensive and opened artillery fire on Russian positions. Yakupov's team went on the defensive, the junior sergeant personally destroyed two machine-gun crews and more than 20 enemy infantry men. As a result, the enemy artillery was suppressed by the calculation forces.

The Ministry of Defense also noted the personal courage, bravery and professionalism of the guard of Private Valery Korolev, who acted as part of an assault group and received a combat mission to capture the AFU stronghold.

Korolev set up a firing position in a convenient location not far from the enemy stronghold, and then headed for the AFU trench. Having managed to get close to the target unnoticed and throwing several grenades, the private quickly returned to his firing point and destroyed the enemy's firing point with a well-aimed shot. Thus, by distracting the attention of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Korolev provided his comrades with the opportunity to covertly approach the enemy stronghold from the other side. As a result of the attack from the rear, the Ukrainian Armed Forces retreated, leaving the wounded and dead.

Earlier, on March 22, the Ministry of Defense reported that Senior Lieutenant Sergei Tretyakov, commanding a mortar crew, provided support to Russian motorized rifle units. During the battle, Tretyakov's crew managed to eliminate the enemy stronghold, which was occupied by enemy personnel.
