Russian judoka Agayan won silver at the Grand Slam tournament in Georgia
Russian judoka Armen Agayan won silver at the Grand Slam tournament on March 22 in Tbilisi.
In the final of the weight category up to 73 kg, the athlete could not defeat the representative of Georgia, Lasha Shavdatuashvili. The bronze medal was shared by Samuel Gassner, representing Austria, and Italian Leonardo Valeriani.
In the women's division, Russian Madina Taymazova took third place in the weight class up to 70 kg. She was eliminated from the gold medal competition in the quarterfinals, but won three fights in the consolation tournament.
In December 2024, Russian judoka Ayub Bliev and Danil Lavrentiev won bronze medals at the Grand Slam tournament of the International Judo Federation (IJF) in Tokyo.
