According to the publication, scabies spreads through close skin contact with other people, so it often affects entire families, as well as residents of nursing homes. In addition, parasites can live in sheets and towels. Symptoms of the disease appear three to six weeks after infection.

It is clarified that recently there has been more and more evidence that the infection has developed resistance to drugs known to doctors, which makes them practically useless.

It was noted that scabies was mainly diagnosed in the adult population (88 people). Almost 85% of cases are in the cities of the region. Residents of Krasnoyarsk, Kansk, Nazarovo, Yeniseisk, Lesosibirsk, Uzhursky district and Taimyr municipal district were most often ill.
