It is necessary to create a modern infrastructure in the Zaporizhia region. This was announced on March 22 by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin.

"During the meeting, it was said that for the influx of population to the Melitopol and Berdyansk agglomerations, it is important to create a modern infrastructure, increasing the volume of housing, renovation of housing and communal services, and social facilities," he is quoted as saying in the Telegram channel of the government of the Russian Federation.

He noted that there is a "positive trend" in these areas. The meeting also focused on the development of the industrial sector and cooperation with the Territorial Development Fund for the Free Economic Zone.

Earlier, Khusnullin inspected the construction of a multidisciplinary pediatric medical center, Melitopol State University. According to him, work has begun on the installation of internal walls and partitions in the medical facility.

The educational institution carries out renovation work on buildings, dormitories and other spaces. It is planned to create a comfortable educational environment for more than 12,000 students there.

On March 19, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the extension of the free economic zone (FEZ) regime to the areas bordering Ukraine where the counter-terrorism operation (CTO) regime has been introduced. Last year, SEZs were launched in some territories to help entrepreneurs. Due to this, companies can take advantage of preferential loans and a reduced tariff.
