A criminal case has been opened in Moscow after a truck driver killed a child. This was announced on March 22 by the Main Investigative Department (GSU) of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Telegram channel.

"The truck driver, moving along Mikhalkovskaya Street in Moscow, hit a child born in 2013. The boy died from his injuries at the scene," the message says.

It is specified that police officers detained the suspect. He turned out to be a 44-year-old foreign citizen. A criminal case has been opened against him on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules by a person driving a car, resulting in death by negligence").
