London's Heathrow Airport has resumed operations after being closed due to a power outage caused by a fire at an electrical substation. This was announced on March 21 by the press service of the air harbor on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

"Since the incident, our teams have worked tirelessly to ensure a speedy recovery. Now we can safely resume flights, giving priority to the repatriation and relocation of aircraft," the message says.

An explosion at a substation occurred the day before, as a result of which the electricity was cut off at Heathrow Airport. In this regard, the air harbor was closed until midnight on March 21.

In addition, it became known that the air harbor was seriously damaged after an explosion and a fire at an electrical substation. Airport staff and passengers faced darkened areas, limited service, and delays at check-in and baggage handling facilities.

At the same time, the head of the airport, Thomas Waldby, said that Heathrow Airport had lost enough energy to meet the needs of an average city.
