The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation told about the brutal murders of residents of the Sudzhansky district by the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Investigative Committee of Russia continues to work with victims of crimes committed by the Ukrainian armed forces or those who witnessed acts of violence in the previously occupied territory of the Kursk region. This was announced on March 22 by Svetlana Petrenko, head of the Department for Interaction with the Media of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

So, the investigation established the fact of the murder of a local resident in the village of Zaoleshenka, Sudzhansky district, by a Ukrainian serviceman, who was riding a bicycle down the street.

A resident of the village of Kazachya Loknya, Sudzha district, told how on August 21, 2024, militants of Ukrainian formations brutally tortured and killed a Russian serviceman.

In the same village, on August 7, 2024, soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) shot a local woman's husband in the back as he was heading to a grocery store.

The Investigative Committee of Russia also established that on January 19, 2025, a woman died as a result of a VFU shell dropping on a private house in Sudzha.

"The investigation's work to establish the circumstances of the crimes of the Ukrainian armed formations will continue until all those involved are brought to criminal responsibility," Petrenko concluded.

The allocation of assistance to affected citizens should also be under the control of prosecutors, the president said.

On March 12, Lithuanian Armed Forces mercenary Sharunas Jasyukevicius was sentenced in absentia to 23 years in prison for invading the Kursk region. He threatened residents of the region, and also fired at Russian military personnel and law enforcement officers.
