The Ministry of Economic Development announced a record number of young entrepreneurs in the Russian Federation

The number of young entrepreneurs in Russia under the age of 25 amounted to more than 2.7 million people, which is a record figure since 2019. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development on March 21. "Газете.Ru ".

At the same time, most of the young entrepreneurs live in the North Caucasus Federal District. Thus, Chechnya (15.12%), Ingushetia, where the share is 14.17%, and Dagestan (11.65%) entered the top 3 in terms of the share of individual entrepreneurs (IE) under the age of 25. The leaders in the number of underage sole proprietors are Chechnya (0.76%), Mari El (0.67%) and the Orenburg Region (0.59%).

"The number of sole proprietors under the age of 18 has increased by 228% in five years and exceeded 12 thousand people. The number of individual entrepreneurs under the age of 25 increased by 77% and reached 264,000," said Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development.

According to him, such statistics are the result of the popularization of business among young people and support measures that have been implemented as part of the national project.

Young workers in the entrepreneurial field are developing businesses such as online trading, advertising, catering, logistics and storage of goods. They have the opportunity to receive specialized support programs, including financial, property, educational and consulting assistance, explained Deputy Minister of Economic Development Tatyana Ilyushnikova.
