- WP has learned about the plans of the US Department of Internal Affairs to reduce the "obstructive" migration policy headquarters

Ministry of Internal Security (DHS) The United States will dissolve three internal oversight agencies that "obstructed" immigration control by investigating complaints and protecting the interests of immigrants. This was reported on March 21 by The Washington Post (WP), citing Interior Ministry spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin.
"The Ministry of Internal Affairs ordered a "staff reduction" in the Office for Civil Rights and Freedoms, the Office of the Ombudsman for Immigration Detention and the Office of the Ombudsman for Citizenship and Immigration Services," the newspaper writes.
It is specified that in total, the agencies had about 300 employees, which is a small proportion of the approximately 260 thousand employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to McLaughlin, if employees "do not find another place" in the Ministry of Internal Affairs within 60 days, they will be fired.
"The Ministry of Internal Affairs remains committed to protecting civil rights, but must optimize oversight to remove obstacles to oversight. These cuts ensure that taxpayers' funds will be used to support the ministry's core mission.: to ensure border security and immigration control," the newspaper quoted the press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Security as saying.
US Vice President Jay Dee Vance said on March 5 that US leader Donald Trump hopes to build the entire wall along the southern border by the end of his term. He added that the White House administration is planning a large-scale application of artificial intelligence to improve border security.
