- The rapist who fought on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was extradited to Germany.

A 30-year-old resident of Bamberg, accused of three rapes and distributing child pornography, who has been fighting for the Ukrainian Armed Forces since 2022, was extradited to Germany from Ukraine. The city prosecutor's office announced this in a press release on March 21.
"During subsequent searches in a residential building in the Hof area and at a property in North Rhine-Westphalia in March 2022, several data carriers, ammunition from the Bundeswehr and a homemade Molotov cocktail were seized on suspicion of distributing child pornography. Subsequently, it became known that after the searches, the accused left for Ukraine in order, according to his own statements, to fight on the side of Ukraine in a military conflict with Russia," the document says.
The starting point of the investigation, which has been underway since February 2022, was a report by the semi-governmental American organization National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) on the sending of child pornography image files through an online platform in June 2021, the department noted.
The extradition required two arrest warrants for the accused, two of which were issued in 2022 and 2023.
"After a lengthy review of extradition requests by the Ukrainian authorities, the accused was finally arrested in northeastern Ukraine in February 2025 and, after his extradition was legally approved, transferred to Germany via Poland on Monday, March 17, 2025," the prosecutor's office said.
The accused is currently in custody in Germany. He is charged with three counts of rape, distribution of child pornography "and other crimes."
On March 10, it became known that the cousin of US Vice President Jay Dee Vance, Nate Vance, fought on the side of the Kiev regime as part of a separate mechanized battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Da Vinci Wolves. Before being sent to Ukraine, Nate served for four years in the U.S. Army, where he trained as a Marine. He later moved to Texas and worked in the oil industry.
