Starting from September 1, the Ministry of Industry and Trade plans to introduce mandatory labeling of some confectionery products. The relevant draft was submitted by the agency on March 21.

"Starting from September 1, 2025, it is planned to introduce requirements for registration of turnover participants in the labeling information system. At the same time, the requirement for the application of identification tools will occur in several stages, depending on the type of product - from December 1, 2025 to May 1, 2026," the organization said.

They plan to implement the idea in stages. Each type of product will have to be labeled starting from a certain date.

For example, starting from May 1, 2026, chocolate and products made from it will have to be labeled.

Earlier, on March 12, the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to introduce labeling for smartphones and laptops from September 1. This initiative provides for the transition of manufacturers of these products, as well as importers, to mandatory labeling. At the same time, manufacturers must be listed in the register of the information system for monitoring the turnover of labeled goods from September 1 of this year.
