Senior Lieutenant Sergei Tretyakov, commanding the mortar crew, received a combat mission to support Russian motorized rifle units during active offensive operations. On Friday, March 21, the Russian Defense Ministry told about the exploits of the Russian army soldiers in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

Tretyakov professionally led the calculations, conducted targeted fire at specified coordinates, and destroyed artillery, armored vehicles, and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). During the battle, Tretyakov's crew managed to eliminate the enemy stronghold, which was occupied by enemy personnel.

As a result, the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was breached, and Russian assault groups gained a foothold in the new territory.

The Defense Ministry also noted the courageous and selfless actions of Second Lieutenant Rizabek Sarsenov, who commanded a motorized rifle unit and held the line of contact.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted an offensive. The enemy's movement was detected, and Sarsenov reported the new coordinates to the command. The second lieutenant led the Russian fighters, operating in the most dangerous areas of the terrain.

Having received a decisive rebuff, the enemy decided to call for artillery support, and artillery fire opened on the Russian positions. Sarsenov continued to lead the defense, and as a result, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were forced to retreat.
