US President Donald Trump categorically disagreed with the statement about Russia's rejection of American proposals for a cease-fire in Ukraine. On March 22, he responded to a question from a journalist who asked about the possibility of imposing new sanctions against Russia because of Russian leader Vladimir Putin's alleged rejection of the idea of a cease-fire.

"He (Putin — Ed.) did not reject anything, and they have sanctions. There are many sanctions imposed on them. They have almost more sanctions than anyone else," Trump replied.

On that day, the US president said that the contours of a peace agreement on Ukraine had already been formed as a result of his contacts with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.

On March 24, negotiations between the delegations of Russia and the United States will be held in Riyadh on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine and the implementation of the Black Sea initiative. The Russian expert group will be headed by Grigory Karasin, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, and Sergey Beseda, Adviser to the head of the Federal Security Service (FSB).
