The preparation of a study tour by a group of Russian tour operators to Tanzania is in the final stage, following which new proposals and destinations for holidays in this country will be prepared, Russian Ambassador to Tanzania Andrey Avetisyan said in an interview with Izvestia.

"Demand will increase — charters will fly. And after that, I hope, regular flights will be restored. The recently signed Russian-Tanzanian air service agreement provides for this," Andrei Avetisyan told Izvestia.

Tanzania remains one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Africa. The lack of direct flights is holding back the growth of tourist traffic from Russia, so it is necessary to restore business ties between Russian and local travel agencies disrupted due to the pandemic, the diplomat said.
